The 150w/m² FLOORHEATPRO underfloor heating mat is suitable for under tile heating in bathrooms, kitchens and most living areas within the home. When the floor and room are well insulated the 150w/m² system can also be used for your primary heat source.
On concrete floors and depending on floor height restrictions, always attempt to install a thermal barrier of floor insulation just under the heating to gain maximum efficiency.
The 200w/m² FLOORHEATPRO underfloor heating mat is suitable for under tile heating and is recommended for conservatories, primary heat source applications and to heat rooms with a higher heat loss. Also, it is used where a faster heat up time is preferred – up to 25% faster warm up than a 150w/m² system.

Below is some more information on each of our 150w and 200w undertile heating kits and which one is right for you.
Premium under tile heating mat kits save you time and money because not only does the kit include your heating mat and FLOORTOUCH touchscreen thermostat as standard (white or silver) with many other thermostat options from the drop down menu, but also QUICKHEAT, a dual purpose thermal floor paint that will prime and insulate your sub-floor at the same time.
Standard under tile heating mat kits include your heating mat, FLOORTOUCH touchscreen thermostat (white or silver) and floor primer to seal the floor.
To ensure there is a good bond with tile adhesives all floors must be sealed and primed prior to tiling and/or fitting insulation boards. All kits have everything the installer needs to fit the heating and the contents of a kit offer real cost savings compared to purchasing items individually.

The largest single mat size is 12m² but in larger areas you can combine more than one mat to cover the floor area to be heated. A thermostat is normally rated at 16A (amps) and this is suitable to switch up to 3600 watts direct. This means 24m² is the maximum heated floor coverage with a 150w/m² system that can be controlled direct through a thermostat . However, it is still possible to heat a larger area than 24m² with a single thermostat, but in order to switch the amperage a contactor will be required as well as the thermostat. Alternatively, in larger areas the heating can be split into more than one heating zone, each zone with its own thermostat.
